Last Tournament of the Season..................

was held yesterday, Saturday 24th September with the Colin Symonds Pairs

seeing teams illuminated after a 50 minute game played over the day finally

whittling down to the final two pairs Colin Fishleigh and Peter Vernon against

Peter Jones and Linsey Worth who played a 12 end game with Colin and Peter

coming out winners. With the trophy being given by Diane Symonds.

During the day we had a presentation of 80th badges by John Harding the President of Bowls Cornwall to Peter Vernon, Dave Bowyer and Michael Cunnliffe. A great day had by all.

On Saturday 17th September, the club held its last triples competition of the season.

It was a long but enjoyable day with the leader board changing after most games.

Every team won at least 3 matches which was lovely to see.

Congratulations goes to the winners of the day Keith Sargent, Linda Squire and Troy Hair!

Players were treated to a lovely pasty lunch, kindly prepared by Teresa Goodchild and Teresa

Medland. The day was also Bill Midland's 60th Birthday so we were all treated to cake and drinks

after the game. We hope you had a lovely Birthday Bill!

So proud and massive congratulations go to Keiron Sargent, Colin Fishleigh and Craig Pett on

winning the Teighmouth open Bowling Triples on Tuesday. Only wish we could have all been there

to watch you. Good luck to Keiron and Craig as they head into their singles matches and Friday when they play in the pairs. Fill up that Trophy Cabinet.
